While the service was excellent, my bed didn't have any cover sheets (literally, on my bed, there was the sheet that goes on the mattress pad, and then the duvet, no cover sheet (I thought the Sofitel would double or triple-sheet beds. There wasn't one sheet). Also, I stayed at Sofitel Montreal for my mother's birthday. If I knew there was construction/improvements at the hotel, I would have stayed somewhere else (I didn't see any "Improvement" message on the website when I booked my room, nor have I received any notification email about construction interuptions before my stay. This is deception). No need to contact me. Good luck.

Bad timing for visit

The hotel was under refurbishment and I was travelling for business I was hoping for the convenience of the hotel restaurant, there was scaffolding across the lobby and building materials everywhere in the lobby. Room was ok.

i stayed several years ago and was thrilled with the experience this was a complete disapointment the lobby was a renovation mess the make shift lobby on second floor is lack luster - plastic glasses for a drink that is terrible, dead plants, no apology for the mess, the fan in the room did not work so could not cool the room at night. it was very noisy during the night with other guests. there was no apology or attempt for the unpleasant experience. perhaps a free breakfast could be offered to guests until the renovation is done and the second floor interim lobby could be much more appealing with small things - like glass glasses and something to welcome guests also evening turn down service is usual in a 5 start hotel.
